c. ITNICOU (uniriea Conunand) Area
The UNIC0M Area is arl area including the cities of
Minneapolis and St. Paul, and aU- of Anoka, Canrer,
Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott and Washington Counties.
d. Minneapolis-St. Paul Target Area
the Hinrreapolis-St. Paul Target Area is geographically
identical to and is the UNICOM AREA.
Maneuver Area
The Maneuver Area i-s eomprS-sed of those counties immediately
adJacen'r, and ccntiguous to the UNICOM area and is the area
for assembly and nq\rement of UNIC0M Ci\,:i1 De-fense forces
engagerl tn operations before or after an eneny strike on
the $'fate.
Reeeption Area
The Beception Area is composed of Counties which abut
the Maneuver .A,rea and which receive and care for erracuees
fron the evaeuatlon area.
Bvacuation Area
That portion of the IINICOM Area, approximately 2l miles
in radius from the Lake Street-Marsha11 Avenue bridge,
which is evacuated upon receipt of an evacuation order
from the State Director of Civil Defense.
I'NICOM DIVISION 1
UNICOM Division I is the eastern portion of the UNICOM
area and includes Dakota, Ramsey and Washington Countiees.
1. UNICOM DIVISION 2
UNICOM Division 2 is the Western portion of the UNICOM
Area and includes Anoka, Hennepin, Canver and Scott Counties.
j. Target Area Counties
The Counties in the UNIC0M A,rea are referred to as Target
Area Countles.
k. Target Area Municipalities
Mmicipalities within target area eounties are referred to
as target area mrnicipalities.
