  The Encyclopedia of Underwater and Maritime Archaeology was published in 1998 by Yale University Press and the British Museum. It is very comprehensive. It's a scholarly work, but it's also well illustrated. As the name implies, it is an encyclopedia, and contains 450 articles.   Underwater Archaeology: The NAS Guide to Principles and Practice is published by the Nautical Archaeology Society (NAS). This is the second edition, published in 2008.
